In parallel to GSOP X, Ongame Network continues with The Grand Series of Poker Mini. The structure and rules follow the same format as GSOP X but with the buyins set to approximately 10% of the numbers in GSOP X. The guaranteed prize pool is €450,000 in total with buyins starting as low as €5.
Between 24 February and 17 March 2013 there will be a total of 19 events with different buy-ins, all aimed at the lower buyin player segment. The focus on the GSOP Mini events is primarily No Limit Texas Hold'em although we also offer Texas Hold'em limit, Texas Hold'em Pot limit, Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha hi/lo events.
For every day during the period, there is a new GSOP Mini event starting at 20:00 CET. On Sundays there is also a Turbo or Mad Tilt tournament starting at 21:30 CET.
Each event winner receives a Grand Slam Mini ticket and also earns points towards a leaderboard where the leaderboard winner gets a Gram Slam Mini ticket. Remaining top 100 players will get a chance to compete for three more tickets to the final Grand Slam Mini Final event with a buy-in of €500 and guaranteed prize pool of €200,000.
There are no direct qualifiers to the GSOP Mini events but the tickets won in our regular qualifiers can be used in the GSOP Mini. During the GSOP Mini period there will be one scheduled daily qualifier to the Grand Slam Mini Final. All of these will be re-buy qualifiers and guarantee one Grand Slam Mini Final ticket worth €525 each. Lastly, there will be one final chance to qualify to the Grand Slam Mini with a juicy €5,250 guarantee.
The Grand Slam Mini Final will take place Sunday 17 March 20:00 CET, the weekend after the last Event.
